Getting involved is quick and easy!
Community Challenge
It's as easy as one, two three to get involved in the WinterActive Community Challenge! And, it's a fun and simple way to get people moving. What's more, through the Challenge, your community could even be seen as one of the province's most active communities. Be one of the first 40 communities/organizations to register and receive a free promotional package containing WinterActive giveaways for your event! Click here for more information on the Community Challenge.
DPA School Challenge
The WinterActive Daily Physical Activity (DPA) Challenge Poster features activities from the Everybody Move: Daily Vigorous Physical Activity resources from CIRA Ontario. These activities will help you get your group moving and have lots of fun at the same time. The WinterActive activities are easy to implement as a classroom OR as part of a school-wide Daily Physical Activity challenge.
Order your free copy of the WinterActive DPA Challenge Poster today! The first 75 schools to register will receive a free WinterActive Games Starter Kit. Click here to view the registration form.
Fitness Challenge
This year's initiative includes a Challenge specifically for organized fitness settings - commercial or private clubs, YM/YWCA, public fitness facilities, Boys and Girls Clubs, etc. The Challenge is based upon a referral concept and is intended to attract inactive adults to fitness facilities.
By registering in the WinterActive Fitness Challenge, your facility will be helping to improve the level of physical activity among adults in your community. What's more, the Challenge will introduce your member's friends, family members or work colleagues to your facility. You will receive attractive promotional material, referral coupons and support information that will make it easy for you to become involved. Simply fill in the registration form and we will do the rest.
The first 50 registered facilities will receive 20 free WinterActive water bottles to be distributed to your members or used in any way that fits with your winter marketing campaign.
Leaders, you are strongly encouraged to register your events on the national WinterActive web site as well. We also ask that for tracking purposes, and if your event is registered for the Ontario WinterActive Challenge, that you encourage your participants to register online. Both leaders and participants have a chance to win great prizes as well!
We have just received several WinterActive banners that can be borrowed on a first come first serve basis (sent out to your community and returned) to be used for your WinterActive event.
Should you have any further questions or would like to have a WinterActive banner at your event please contact me at winteractive@prontario.org or 416-426-7313.
Thanks for helping Ontario get WinterActive!
